Maxigo 0.8.3b (update-25 May 2007)
Here is a small Maxigo update. (version 0.8.3a)
It fixes the OBJ export bug and there are also two new features added.
Now the memory allocated for script gets increased automatically when exporting a large mesh into XML format.
I also added the feature, that automatically splits large meshes. It is mainly useful when exporting to 3ds format. Now it should be possible to export models larger than 65k polys to 3ds. (I got the idea when talking to afecelis ). It is not limited only by 3ds. You can also use it with XML and OBJ (if you want to..for some reason)
One tip though - model must have correct UV coordinates when using splitting. Otherwise the 3ds file exported will have errors.
The file is in the first post of this thread.
Have fun!

It works fine Suvakas, besides the saving parameters issue; but something weird started happening, now my 3dsmax render button doesn't work , yet if I remove your script it still doesn't work either, and it was working fine with previous versions
I'll have to remove the other scripts I got running at startup. I guess one of them is interfering with Max's native render button.
Let us know of any updates
Regards,
Alvaro

heheheh I'm sure it's not your fault. I just uninstalled 3dsmax and the plugins I had installed for it and cleaned the registry to do a clean install. It's very weird because on the other 2 machines, with the same plugins and scripts the render button works just fine. So I can still test stuff there. I'll let you know how the re-installation goes
regards, and please keep us updated.

Hi damian,
The importMat is for importing Indigo material files. You can either open a material file that has an *.igm extension or you can paste the material code directly into textbox. It is meant for sharing the materials. As you may have noticed, then there is also an Export Material button under each Indigo material. Thats how you export your *.igm files.
*.igm is a cross platform format for sharing materials between all the indigo exporters. At least that's the idea.
