Actually thats very clever.
(Hope Ono can make use of that extra GPU for us )
Apple made great displays back in 2008 with the 32" LCD mate display.
And let's hope it will stay 1000$ and not go up to 1999$....cuz its almost a MacPro.

And 'likely that this project is then also copied by other OEMs with different solutions for both the monitor resolution adopted GPU as well as solutions with external box type Akkito.
