Problem with depth of field and caustics

Post by powered_jj » Fri Dec 29, 2006 10:31 am

Please look at this render:
Image
The focus was on the calculator, and yet some areas are sharp, while others are blurred. There shouldn't be those dof differences.

There are problems with depth of field. In my opinion, the light that passes through transparent surfaces somehow transmits the level of blur (depth of field).

Have anyone encountered similiar problems? Is there a way to correct it (without double-rendering and photoshopping :))?

Where does the light come from that falls on '3' and '+' etc. I doesn't look right... Are the surfaces closed?

The only light source is the sun. The surfaces of all the objects are closed.

The scene was created in Blender.

It was rendered in Indigo 0.6. I used Blender exporter 0.6t6-b1.

Here's the scene in xml along with some textures used.

Good luck in bug-hunting :).
