Request: Save as Photoshop

Post by forgeflow » Mon Apr 12, 2010 4:17 pm

It would be nice to be able to save the rendered image as a 32bit photoshop file, with each light group in a separate layer.

Yes, a quite old request ^^
A IGI import Plugin for PS with lightLayer Support would be more interesting ;-)
Afaik the structure for PhotoShop and AfterEffects is quite similar, so having both wouldn't be to much extra work...

In the same vein, it would be very helpful to put in Indigo tonemapping as a Photoshop plugin as well, to get from the 32-bit raw files to an 8-bit image. You could also use it for any HDRIs in that case...

On the other hand, isn't this functionality the type of thing that Violet would do?

Interesting point! I don't think tonemapping, post-aperture-difraction etc. are saved in the igi file anyway!!!

integration into the actual PS based workflow without multiple single image save actions in indigo or Violet is the point here! open igi file, all light layers and alpha are on a own named layer!
