Trouble Saving images

Post by d_aguirre78 » Fri Jul 29, 2016 10:09 am

Hello Everyone,

I came across an issue that Indigo has never done before to me. The software renders fine and all is great that is until I want to save an image. I select the save image option and give my file a name as you normally would. Upon opening the file, the image comes up distorted almost as if one is hallucinating.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Attached are pictures of Indigo doing it's thing and the resulting saved image.

I'm running on a laptop equipped with Windows 8. I have an Nvidia GTX 670M and 16GB of RAM.

What image format are you saving in? What Indigo version are you using?

In the GUI, Options/Image saving/JPEG quality. By default is 1%.

The Image quality did help quite a bit. Thanks for the advice. The only thing to figure out now is why it comes out a different tone. But for now, I'm very grateful that the quality has improved 94%. :D

Try saving the image in a different format (e.g., PNG) to see if the distortion issue persists. Some formats may handle certain types of images better than others.
Check your rendering settings in Indigo, including resolution, aspect ratio, and anti-aliasing. Adjust these settings to see if they have an impact on the distortion. For resolution compression you may use third party tool or any online tool such as jpeg compressor.
If you prefer using JPEG, ensure that the quality setting is reasonably high 95% to maintain image quality.
