network rendering inconsistency

Post by FakeShamus » Mon Apr 30, 2012 4:11 am

Hi, just been noticing recently some inconsistent behavior when trying to connect to a slave over network.
the error crops up if I run a scene on the master and then stop it to tweak some setting and hit render to start it back up again.

the error when receiving a frame from the slave reads:

Code: Select all

WARNING: Discarded received frame, as incoming scene sequence number 0 does not match current scene sequence number 3.
(the sequence number varies)

occasionally if I click the "Network Rendering" button off and then on again on the master it decides to re-send the scene data and reconnect to the slave and will continue as expected, but this usually doesn't work. I've also tried restarting Indigo on the slave while the master is running, but that's also no use.

I'm running Indigo 3.2.13 on both machines (2 Mac Pro's running OSX 10.6.8)
thanks!

Didn't notice that in former 3.x builds...
I could check on Wednesday, if you like.
Cheers, David
