Noise issue.
Noise issue.
hi,
I have had this image rendered for the past 17 hours yet it's still showing lots of noises. Any idea/guidance how should i tweak this?
Attached is the screenshot.

Re: Noise issue.
Info on scene setup, render settings, hardware etc. would help a lot.
Re: Noise issue.
Do you render in MLT mode?
Try BiDir PathTracing instead, since MLT is knowen to keep noise over long render time...
And yes, without the info Oscar requested, your ask for help is not to easy to fullfill
Please show us the full renderer...

Re: Noise issue.
It's a interior screen and I am using iMac, detail as attached. I guess hardware ain't an issue?
Yes, it was rendered with Bidirectional with MLT mode bcos I remember reading somewhere that this mode is the best for interior rendering...

Re: Noise issue.
The full image would still be very helpfull, by that we could sugest features like ArchGlass and ExitPortal that could help a lot (!!) speeding up rendering.... but we have no idea how lighting is setup in your case...
As already sugested: use BiDir PathTracing for rendering!
MLT is good for special scenes with complicated light situations many caustics etc. BiDir PT is best choice for 90% of the scenes, and also for Interiors.
Your hardware is quite medicore, since your CPU does not have any Hyper Threading, so only 4x3,2Ghz.
Indigo does scale very nicely with HT on Intel CPU's, so your CPU is maybe half as fast as a i7 4770.

Re: Noise issue.
Bubs, one of the best arch viz people on here, does amazing interiors and exteriors with an i5 processor. Pibuz, another power user, renders on a Core 2 Quad. With the right knowledge and some patience, your hardware shouldn't be a problem for stills.
Arch glass and BiDir should be a good start for optimisation, then you can try exit portals as well, especially if your windows are small.
Keep it up!

Re: Noise issue.
Yeah, that looks like a scene that would do fine with BiDir and arch glass + exit portals at the door.

Hi
The threads should be 4, however, the choice is automatic and should see all 4 as it happens to me.
