Renders, etc. (dakiru)
Renders, etc. (dakiru)
So, I would like to continue the trend of making own render thread. Comment and critics, suggestions, jokes are always welcome!

Meow ?
Beautyfull dakiru ! I don't even understand "mod_02_14300spx_MLT_BiDir.jpg" but it's... beautyfull.

Meow for sureCTZn wrote:Meow ?
Big thanks, guys!

The background of the kitten image makes me think that it is lying on an operating table and just has been anaesthetized. It is dreaming of mice and having lots of fun for sure

yes, but quite noisy for 13k spp... bokeh is a time consuming bitch atmzed_pmd wrote:Great bokeh effect on a first render

You see noise, I see textureZomB wrote:yes, but quite noisy for 13k spp... bokeh is a time consuming bitch atmzed_pmd wrote:Great bokeh effect on a first render

I know what he means. I am using this phenomenon my self on some renderings.ZomB wrote:I don't get itpixie wrote:You see noise, I see texture
I don't need to add detail through textures I am adding detail through layering some
images in post. One is the final and cleaner image and others are images that are
saved during rendering. Then I'm masking those layers and have some detail where
I need it without texturing. By the way, I hate super clean renderings so I'd need to
texture everything and add noise later. You know I love the noise of photos, maybe
that's the reason.
@dakiru
I like your studio setup. I'd like to see some texture work on your objects. It would make
'em more interesting. But I know unwrapping isn't much fun anyway.
take care

Re: Renders, etc. (dakiru)
I think it has to do with the nature of blurry things, they pick from the original and distort it somehow, in this case I glaze at the picture and don't see that noise namely because I expect to be there doing is work, blurring things out...ZomB wrote:I don't get it
When we focus it should be to stand out from the crowd, to give it contrast above the rest, although in this particular case I think it's more showing the effect then it's serving the purpose of guidance trough the picture as the main focus area is in the middle and not particular standing out nor having a special reason to it. Overall there's should be a special attention to the area being focused and not on the blurry part itself.
PS- If you want more perfect blur, narrow the aperture, you'll have a side effect in reducing it, but it will be perfect!
Re: Renders, etc. (dakiru)
Thanks pixie, for the cause !
e: dakiru, I'm soooo eager to know how you obtained the intricated shapes in that second render, I'm astounded !
that's so true that some VR engines do track the user eyes to reduce details out of the focusing point to a perceptual level, freeing ressources.Overall there's should be a special attention to the area being focused and not on the blurry part itself.

I've made a basic shape in Topmod and changed it in Blender a lot (+ subsurf)CTZn wrote:Thanks pixie, for the cause !
