Unfortunately i cannot find a nice postpro, but i m not expert in postpro, too that s the real stuff. just trying to do a more poetic or more elaborated render than a photoreal of the overall.
your comments help me a lot, but maybe it is because it is in low res too, and all the lines seem to merge in a grey black centre image...

So, these are images i had done in 2006 on artlantis 1.2.0, and they weren t so bad for that time, but i really wanted to see them indigo rendered!! So here is the result!
modeled in sketchup in 2006.

I think i have a problem with the corridor view, it has been rendering for 20 hours, it is at 5500 Spp, and it is still MLTgrainy-blurry... or maybe it is because the scene is complicated, because the light gotta go through 2 glasses with 7cm between both and it makes it long. (or maybe i should get a new computer when i get some cash!!)

these are wips, i m gonna render night versions too but waiting for the corridir s view to render properly

unfortunately, i gotta postpro the chair s back because i set the smooth stuff too hard and it made these artefacts, next time it will be better

Nice job as usual! I like the wood walls on the right.
In the first scene, I think it takes so long because little power lamps tries to illuminate the scene in contrast to the big entries of light (excuse my english again). Try different wattage and ies for the cieling lamps. Are you using exit portals? What about trying and exr image for the background? Try also to reduce light layers if they're too much. Don't really know if it would help you.

Thanks for your comment. I already use exit portals and have only 2 light layers. In fact, Sun+Sky is layer 0, and all the lights are on the same emitter material, so, the same layer1

In fact, light is entering from the left, and on the glass you see on the left, there are 2 glasses of 1 cm each, with a 7cm gap between each. I think the difficulty is for the light to go through the 2 consecutively. Anyway, i have time for the moment i render these just for my pleasure.

I think using an exr could be nice, i usually like to have a sun entering windows and having high contrasts on materials, but for this one scene, i think i ll try it next week.

Here i changed the color of the Sun+sky layer, made it more bluish like the real one

It is still rendering, i wonna know when this scene will be crystal clear!

Thank you Suv', i prefer it too. I think it is something to remember for many of my next interior renders : interior lights are really often much "warmer" than natural light when it s midday.

The built version had many changes : the window divided in 3, wall materials, some glasses slightly moved, fire security indications etc...

For the next render, at least i m going to make the view match
EDIT : oh i just noticed that the image was not grainy anymore on the floor and the ceiling... it is an error i did, it has a grainy texture! anyway, i had the intention to render again.

rendered 9hous on bidirPT it has been much faster, and used env map.
I ll try to ameliorate furniture and textures and details... i haven t changed anything in the model since i did it.

Wow, nice comparaisons! Light seems more equilibrated now. At some moment the render is going to look better than the foto! Keep working on it!

Hey here! again, changed the chairs, but working on how to make the sewing appear like on the real one... maybe i ll post process it, rather than modelling, but the shape isn t the good one to me.
couldn t resist with playing with light layers !!!

gotta change the scale of the stone tiles on the rightern wall and the black dashes maybe coming from the texture of the stuff behind.. gotta check, cuz finally it is smaller, and the black pillars texture is too small and it get the repetition effect i don t like... I ll add the two vertical bars in the window like in the real one, and the fire security stuf

Hey all, long time since i haven t posted any renders.

HEre is a model i downloaded from the Sketchup 3D warehouse. I just added Exit portals and edited materials, otherwise, the model is very correct.

Here is a render, i pretty like the Concrete walls, IMO, they look like the onse we can find in photographs of this building.
