Double polys or that shading issue I told before... In C4D you can control the angle through the "Phong Tag"

Hmm. I'm using Blender, and I don't know of the Phong tag.
But, I tried changing the magazines to diffuse and that fixed it. They don't look nice and glossy, but you can see the texture at least.

Maybe what Pure meant was to play around with the "IOR" value inside which is a setting of the Phong Material type (I'm using Blender as well, it's in there for sure).

Also, the chairs are getting better, but I still think a cloth like bump/texture would help (or is it there and the low spp is hiding it?)

I'll try messing with the ior value. And yes, I did use Godzilla's fabric texture as a bump, bt as you said, the noise is pretty heavy.

Okay, new wide angle update. I took the magazines out for this render cause they were being annoying.

Coming along nicely :)

I would like to point out two things though, first off at the base of your tables there seems to be strange holes in the mesh, are those intended?

And also, these TVs of yours look a bit pale don't you think?

i think your scene is coming along very nice padfoot! i really like the latest wide angle view. one comment though, i don't think the "TVs" are actually TVs ... they look more like bay windows or niches or something - based on your reference image. keep up the great progress, can't wait to see this one complete.

Those "TV's" on the walls are actually indented windows.. Not flat surfaces.

Nice realisation padfoot !

I think you used your reference as much as possible, now talking about lighting I hope that you will drop it purely and simply: it's a photography of a TV screen, from a time when "multimedia" was meaning "damn he can speak latin". Not to mention the quality of the initial support, plus the variety of acquiring devices and applications that brought it to a lossy format...

You can honestly not use this as a lighting reference, get more or do it your way ;)
