Ja, ich hab ja oben ne Zusammenfassung der Kritikpunkte aufgeschrieben, weil ich selbst irgendwann betriebsblind geworden und noch unzufrieden mit dem Resultat bin.
Deswegen WIP... :)

Just to say, this is a realy nice picture :)
I almost couldnt belive it is 3D, the most real looking thing is the road no doubt, spot on. Great job

 very believable.
one thing that kind of jumps out to my eye is the bump on the asphalt crack patch seems a little extreme or maybe even inverted, and should flatten out with distance and direct sunlight. but really nice overall.

You're absolutely right, something seems to be inverted here...
gotta check it when I got the time.
Thank you!

Alright,

I'm definately running out of steam... so I decide to keep it at this state; a little bit of lomo-style.
I didn't fix several things like the whitepaint of the stones... but I think it's okay.

Hope you like it anyway! :)

...should be straight into the "Best of Indigo" gallery in my opinion even though this version somehow lacks the realism of the first render. Still a shit-hot render. You should be very proud of this work Zeit.

Absolutely amazing render. Definitely in the top-5 most photo realistic images I've ever seen, and that's saying something, believe me. To the best of Indigo!

Realy impressive

Yes we should make a top five section with different categories (with video), a kind of best of with a permanent competition...

Thank you very much... It's so emberassing.
Let me do one or two little changes, then it's definately finished for me.

- I'll try to but more irregularities to the asphalt sides, like crackles.
- Then I'll add some more on the whitepaint left in the back of the street.
- Furtheron, I'll try to find another rock texture... Maybe I'll redo this whole area and add more plants to it.
- perhaps the sidestones need more work... We'll see.

:-)

Higher resolution road texture closer to the camera?
