I've been using sketchup for a while, making construction drawings for various things at work, but never thought there would be possible to draw rendered images with sketchup. Untill I tried googling it, that is
Anyway, here's my first rendering, any comments would be great.
As you can see on the big windows, I'm having problems letting the sun in.
On the inside of the window, I have a PNG image with translucent parts, but I can't make the sun shine through the clear parts, making shadows inside the room. :S
Anyone know if this is even possible?

Re: My first render
Think I fixed the problem with my windows.. Obviously it's not finished rendering.
Anyone got any ideas for improvement?

Re: My first render
wow, nice start!
maybe give the floor a different material?
Is this pure white? Dont use pure white, it reflects too much light and it renders much longer. Better use 85 or 80% white.

Re: My first render
I think the screens should emit brighter or something - they don't look quite right to me. The design on the glass wall is crazy, nice first render
Re: My first render
The glass is awesome!
As mentioned, brighter screens + textured floor would make for a very handsome render.
