help please look

Hey guys well i realised if i want to get a realistic touch on the render i need a background and i have started using exr files in sketchup so my problem is that well, the pixels become massive or just look weird and also out of focus please help :)
I know this community knows what their talking about so i come for advice :)

Hi ned

It all comes from the map itself, possibly amplified if the camera is furter away from the subject, i.e. zooming.

Since you can only see a very small portion of the env map through the windows, you need to use a much higher resolution exr for the background, a sharp one :D
indeed the blur is from the map.

You might even want to get rid of the background in this case, and texture a plane with a simple hdri picture for emission (without spherical projection, just as normal. Example: kitchen.hdr) that you would put in front of the windows.

Ned, in the future please give the thread a name related to your issue, people will react (optionally: faster/better/period).
