Purespider. There seams to be some common problems with sss.

CTZn: the glass material is a simple specular no sss on it.

Polinalkrimizei: Thats what i tought to....

Hope ono can shine some light on this ;)

Okay, too bad :(

You are correct Polinalkrimizei, though, being different unbiased rendering techniques, each has its drawbacks, and bidir is only one step in the struggle of path tracing against nuked pixels (its very drawback I suppose).

Now, if that glass in the middle of nowhere then maybe the lighting is not "standard" enough, might be crucial for sss (sun is a small lightsource after all).

I did change the light source, to a bigger one...
Rendered with PT and BiDir for about 2 hours.

It looks more like motor oil right now then juice :lol:
Thats why i'm going to leave the juice rendering to suvakas the one who knows it :)

At this stage if you are stuck with nuked pixels, you want to set supersampling to 2 or even 3 to disminuish their impact. They will always be of the size of one pixel so the higher the res the less annoyance.

There is perhaps something to fix here, this issue tend to appear with intersecting mediums, not always, but notably with the documented glass setup.

Tested against 2.0.8 ?

Tried with 2.0.9 i think.
I gues this is a problem... but what do i know :P

Arne told me he had that bug with the mat test scene and milk aswell...
