Room + box

Post by Stinkie » Sat Dec 20, 2008 10:30 am

Been some time since I've last used Indigo. I'm really digging 1.1.12!

Well, here's a WIP image. Go easy on me.

Hi stinkie! Pretty simple, uh?
I'm mostly interested in external map referencing: did you use it in this scene? Did it work?

Well stinkie, imo it's looking good as a wip. Let's see where you bring that !

Nice, but way too dark. Also, 1.1.15 is out :)

@ Pibuz: Yes, I did use external maps. Worked perfectly. I'm very happy with this feature. Try it!

@ CTZn: Thanks. The final version won't look all that different from this one, I think. The walls texture needs work, though. Now it looks not nearly subtle enough.

@ Ono: 1.1.15 is for wussies, everybody knows that. I get that quite alot, "too dark". In my opinion, lots of archviz is waaaay too bright. I'm right, the rest of the world is wrong.

Oh, got a question for you hip youngsters. Suppose I use pure white for the walls, will this merely result in excessively long render times (that I can live with), or will it also cause fireflies (that I cannot live with)?

Have a nice weekend, y'all.

I agree with you Stinkie about the brightness - what you have it set at now looks nice to me and sets a good mood.

Also don't miss some bevels, although I totally support your approach of illumination they would bring more to it.

I like it! The darkness plants a certain mood to the scene.

What is it? What's in the box? What's in the next room?
Questions race through your head.
