Hi Delle!
Interesting work! Congratulations!
I think the radiator area is really GREAT, and the cooking plane good enough.
I'd rather work a little more on the shaders of the furniture, it all seems no reflective at all, and that is not real..
The objects you used, instead, are really good!
Overall, a nice work for me!

Although someone left the door open, and some fireflys got in. :wink:

I use default settings except these ones...

Code: Select all

  <renderer_settings>
    <width>1280</width>
    <height>960</height>
    <aperture_diffraction>false</aperture_diffraction>
    <post_process_diffraction>false</post_process_diffraction>
  </renderer_settings>
Bye

Hey Delle,

are your light source covered with specular transparent materials? This could be the source of the fireflies... imho

Hey Delle, here just my 2 cent:

Do U use Exit Portals for the balcony? This should speed up the scene (less fireflies!)

The metal thing on the balcony seems to e an image with alpha map.... the white border isn't very nice, take care not to use step blend option if you alpha map is not pure black/white...

Did you used the render alpha foreground option of Indigo to get a mask for the sky? If not, give it a try, it renders super fast ;-)

No, if I use exit portals the terrace disappear :wink:

I've used the "Magic wand" tool of PSP 8 that's why there is the border...

Could you explain in detail?

P.S. Here is another version with the real background (Genoa - Italy)

He he.... nobody ever said that a Exit Portal has to be a simple 2D plane ;-)
Just make a box shaped Exit portal with no wall to your scene (normals facing inside!) so your terrace is stil infront of the Exit Portal!
Its slower than simple 2D plane, but should be still lot faster than without exit Portal!
Could you explain in detail?

It causes a Crash to Indigo (v1.1.14)... :shock: :shock:

Here is a simple scene that causes the crash (IndigoCrash.igs)...

If I eliminate the line...

Code: Select all

<render_foreground_alpha>true</render_foreground_alpha>
... it renders well (see picture im1227199955.png)
