Living room at night

Post by ROUBAL » Mon Nov 10, 2008 2:13 am

Hi, I have done this trial some times ago, but I have recently added
details to the scene and improved the rendering thanks to a more
recent computer, so here is the last version of one of my first scenes
rendered with Indigo (12-14 hours of rendering in 1280x1024 in average
= 5000 samples per pixel).
The scene has been created with Blender.

The ambiance was brighter, and I have done some corrections with
Violet and Photoshop to get a warmer atmosphere.

The frames on the walls are my own works.
The portrait is a hand drawing (pencil and black stone), and the other
frames are pictures from some of my animations (they aren't not much
visible though).

The images can be viewed at full size by a click on the pictures on this

Great renders indeed. My only crit would be about the colors, they are a little bit too saturated for me ^^

You're right. I fear I have over-corrected the image. The original renderings were less saturated.

A friend also told me that the fact that the arm-rests of the seats were not separated from the seating was weird. So I might re-model the seats when I'll have some time. As it means to render at least 3 pictures of 12-14 hours each, I fear I will have not enough time this week because the computer is busy.
