That really is coming along very nicely. Now just throw on some real tires and your there! Did you like the way I just dropped that nonchalantly like it's no trouble at all? :P

Is it trouble? xD
If the project lives for so long, already (most would already be annoyed and have started five other project...), it must be fun :)

Really great progress :D
+1 on Hires and tires :)

OnoSendai
I need to find the time to render a hi res. hopefully soon.

WytRaven
How can I make the tires better? words on the sidewall, etc?
What does nonchalantly mean?

Kram1032
I'm not sick of the project yet. I like the car and I can't leave a project unfinished :D

And of course thanks for the compliments from all of you :D

hey the car is looking great! i think the wheels are definitely an improvement from before. i think you need some beefy mags on there. :P and for the tires, the color seems odd to me ... too black? too absorptive maybe? dunno. some lettering would be real nice. put some wide mickeys on there! keep it up doublez! :)

@doublez nonchalance means a casual lack of concern. So I was pointing out that I was asking you to do something difficult but making it sound like it was no trouble at all :P

By proper tires I was meaning modeling thread pattern, moulding lines, embossed logos etc which would be no small feat!

I've always wanted to model a tire but have yet to find the time (primarily due to lack of need) to do it as I think it would be a great modeling challenge.

The only reason I think you need 'real' tires on this model is because the rest of it is so immaculate and realistic that the overly simplistic tires stand out :(

Thanks. I've been having a hard time getting the rubber material just right. I can't figure out whats wrong with it.

WytRaven
Ok, it makes sense now
I agree that a realistic tire would make the car look better. Right now I have a tread, but you can't really see it, maybe bad material, bad scale, I don't know. The rest of the things I can add but like you said it will be no small feat.

What is a good hi-res I should use? I've been using 16:9, 800x450, but I'll try anything.

Well that's just me but for this car image I would chop half of the boring top and bottom parts, uh 7:2 if that means something (+/-1 : +/-1) ?

Well I rendered a hi-res and decided to move on to something new. I don't know what I'm going to do yet, but I'll think of something.
I'll post the hi-res in the finished section.
