Simple test with IES Lights reflecting properly in the mirror. Some other small tests (bump mapping, SS glass etc.) included as well.

Good guess. I wanted some more complicated object, but did not wanted to spend more time on it. Suzanne is actually great for it. :D

D'oh xD
I somewhat misinterpreted the silhouette as if the thing, what ever it is, would look directly through the glass and not sidewards.
Now, that you said it, it's absolutely clear xD

wow. those caustic circles on the lower right of the image look great! Is there a lens beyond the IES, or is it directly the IES? (in the emitter on the right, that points straight down)

Man I wish I could use IES lights they look like they're really useful :( Oh and how did you make the mirror? I knew how to make on in BI but I'm not sure what the material settings would have to be in Indigo...

Hmmm wait ....

I'd use a specular for a perfect mirror. Even huge exponents will result in slightly blurry reflections in phongs. My two cents.

IES lights are cool, though it would be REALLY sweet to have a full IES implementation, including linear IES lights and asymmetrical ones!

right now thats the only real thing limiting Indigo from being used for architectural lighting design and visualization.
