These last two entries, the Insulator Pole and the Magritte Pipe are what should generally be the essence of this thread. Wonderfully SIMPLE pieces that exemplify the beauty of SIMPLE objects / renderings.
They are also very nice examples why SIMPLE does not mean EASY.

Wow, the bulb looks awsome!
would you mind sharing model/scene? i would love to give vray a try since it's not that easy to have this lovely dof gradient!
