Oscar's rendering thread
Re: Oscar's rendering thread
Mean!!! Very cool.
Re: Oscar's rendering thread
My 13 year old son looked up from his math homework and said " cool, that looks like Darth Vader"

Re: Oscar's rendering thread
How can someone who dislikes noise so much be a developer for an unbiased renderer?
Sure, I'll send it but I have a feeling it'll have to render for quite a long time to get rid of the last noise. Check your mail Ono.

Devs of unbiased Render engines should be very resistant to the pain noisy images produce by definitionOscar J wrote:How can someone who dislikes noise so much be a developer for an unbiased renderer?

Thomas: "125 hours rendering, 40k samples per pixel Still has a tiny bit of noise in places, annoyingly..."
Here's a huge, super clean version of the Lambo render. So clean you can see all the detail... as well as the small texture mapping mistakes, I'm afraid.
Enjoy.

Haha sick!
And fuck me about noise, there is none! Noisy is when you can't see that it's a Lamborghini : D

Yeah. Sell it to Aston Martin.
Re: Oscar's rendering thread
Looks good but something off about the tire material... looks like plastic.Oscar J wrote:Thoughts on this one?

The car is so fast its even levitating ^^Oscar J wrote:Thoughts on this one?
(see the tire in the back!)
I also think the reflective coating is ... not reflective enough (raise the IOR?),
maybe the EnvMap is also aligned wrong, since I miss the reflections of the many lights in that tunnel...
Some more effort into postpro maybe could push this image further too, but thats actually totally up to the result the artist have in mind, I would like to prefer some more "punch" to this image, here a tweaked version of your car if you don't mind.
My result is maybe quite extreme, and would end up nicer if I would use the untonemaped EXR.
But please keep in mind that your work is super awesome, and my comments are only MY, and only represent MY taste

Right, I tried to juice up the post production a bit. Thanks for the comment ZomB, helpful as always.
