Actually that installer just had two options, Repair and Uninstall, I choosed Repair but still same error, I also installed Service Pack for that library. Anything else I could try?

Does it crash if you make the texture 'External'? What are you doing right before it crashes?
Same as Pibuz's.

I'm adding albedo texture by sketchup material editor ("use texture image") - it's much easier to control nad tweak. Only additional maps in Skindigo material editor.
Most of the cases it's not possible to add all the textures (eg. albedo, bump, exponent) at one time - SU has a slowdown and crashes. 'External' also doesn't solve the problem...

I'll try that. By the way, there's no uninstaller. Why?

I tried to reinstall but same error appears again. Should I uninstall x86 C++ librarys? My OS is x64.

Yup, it could be that the other ones are conflicting.

If I uninstall all of them, could you tell me what librarys I need? So I can install them again.

It should be sufficient to uninstall the Visual Studio 2008 SP1 versions, those are linked above. It's weird that running those installers doesn't fix the problem though... please mail me (thomas@indigorenderer.com) for further help, so we can stop posting in this thread, thanks ;)

Apologies Latetzki, I just had a look in my spam folder (which itself is quite well hidden) and found your mail :(

I hate it when this happens to me too... sorry! Replying now.

I'm still not clear about what you are doing right before SU crashes. Are you saying that it crashes when you are doing "use texture image" or it crashes when you try load to load an "External" texture with the SkIndigo material editor? And it only happens with really large files, right?

So Whaat, I speak for myself here: SU crashed only once, but I was NOT using a huge texture. It was a 1000x1000 image, nothing more. What did I do? I simply launched a preview of the material through SkIndigo, using the "Indigo" preview scene. It started rendering but I never got the preview of the mat. After 10 (or so) failed image updates, Indigo console crashes. Usually, only Indigo console. Only once, SU crashed.

I get this error at my office, nothing similar that I can recall while working here at home. Could this be something related to admin rights over the folders? For the previews are stored inside C:/programs or something, so if you don't have the rights you can't save the image update.

BTW, I'm going to test the mat preview here at home later, so I'll come back here and report. Thank you Whaat.

..maybe it is something concerning a IE update?
