Let's just say I'm working on it... :)
I'm focused primarily on UI and making everything look and feel more professional.

GREAT! One can think the UI is a secondary subject, but I wouldn't agree, given the great point reached by SkIndigo already. What can I say? Good work!!!! We're waiting! ...drooling a little...

Ehi Whaat, I have a big problem here, and it seems I cannot solve it..

Since last friday, I can't preview SU materials through the SkIndigo material editor if I use the "indigo" preview scene and my material has a texture in the albedo channel. Indigo scene works if I have a simple colour in the albedo channel, instead.

I tried several textures but no luck...

I've checked the textures' names to verify the absence of strange typos (like ù or ì or similar), but they seem to be all ordinary. I tried to change the textures' paths, copying them to the desktop. I tried to re-install SkIndigo. Nothing worked. But I don't know why!
It seems to be something related to the Indigo console, but I remember that last time I had such an issue updating Indigo to the 2.4.3 version was enough to fix this.

Now I'm running Indigo 2.4.3 and the last SkIndigo available but it doesn't work any more... What can I do? Sorry to bother..

It seems that 2.4.3 got a problem with the "indigo" preview...

indigo_console.exe crashes in my case

Hi mily!
That is strange indeed.. I remember 2.4.2 gaving some issues, reported and then fixed in the 2.4.3 :(

I've noticed that only happens, when the texture is used - both sketchup default and mine external. Size doesn't matter...

Hi Mily,

Try exporting the material from SkIndigo as an IGM or PIGM file and then try loading the file with the Indigo material editor. Let me know of any errors.

Also, does the material work (i.e. no errors) when you apply it to an object in your scene and then render it?

Hi Whaat,

it's working in the editor and when I render the scene...

btw. is it normal that from time to time (30% cases) the sketchup crashes when I try to edit/add a huge texture, eg. arroway? The whole scene is about 150 mb.

my spec: i7, 6gb ram

I confirm. No problem in the mat editor and while rendering. Some issues which randomly cause SketchUp to crash unexpectedly when trying to preview textured materials with the MatDB scene through SkIndigo.

Does this occur only when the textures are very large? (i.e. big files)

Does it crash if you make the texture 'External'? What are you doing right before it crashes?

Which version of Windows and Indigo are you using?

I think this may have to do with not having the right versions of Indigo and the Visual C++ runtime libraries installed.

Indeed. The few times it crashed I was using a 1000x1000 texture, downloaded from CGtextures. No crashes while working with smaller textures. But no mat preview either way.

Seems like the image tries to update but it cannot recall the mat preview render. The win cursor shows the little hourglass for half a sec and then only cursor, then hourglass again and then cursor only and so on, but the image never updates. After 1 minute or so I get a indigo_console error report.

It's probably because of those libraries, I removed some of them because I thought I don't need them. Could someone tell me now what libraries I need to be installed? Oh, I installed latest version of Sketchup, Indigo and SKindigo, that didn't affect.
