Renders not matching SU view
Renders not matching SU view
I've noticed this problem in my latest works: Su view and render don't match anymore Whaat!!!
And that's not a matter of size: Indigo renders the view in a slightly different zoom value, so that the perspectives are different a little bit. This is a little annoying, cos it prevents me from overlaying SU lines to the render...

That's an evidence

Re: Renders not matching SU view
pibuz,
I have not changed any code related to this so I'm not sure the source of the problem. I think some more testing needs to be done.
Are you certain that the view exported from SU is the same as the Indigo one? Did you click on a scene tab between exports? Did you Click the 'View' button on the SkIndigo render settings? Did you forget to 'Apply' your render settings before rendering?
These things could have caused the problem. Also, if possible, could you test an older version of Indigo/SkIndigo using the same scene and check if you still have the same issue? Maybe the issue has always been there in some form.
Thanks.

Re: Renders not matching SU view
..Off, I'm a little used to SkIndigo, you know
I am certain that the view exported from SU is the same as the Indigo one, I did not click on a scene tab between exports, I always apply the changes I make.
Though, I'm not 100% sure about not having clicked the View button. Say 99.7%.
I had the same problem while working with the last three/four scenes. In those cases I thought I was doing something wrong, some things like the ones you pointed out. So I payed more attention during the following works but I had the same results. Gonna do some more tests and let you know.
Thank you!

Re: Renders not matching SU view
these two images look correct in my opinion ... alpha looks right too, just missing some geometry.

Hi CP.
They only SEEM, but try to download them and load in Photoshop on different layers.
You'll see the difference.

Re: Renders not matching SU view
Hi all!
I've started using SU7 not long ago.
When I try to render the scene, it does not match AT ALL the SU view.
I'm sorry, I'm at work right now so I can't send a proper Indigo image, but I've made one with Paint to show you what happens.
It seems that the camera is over-zooming automatically, whatever I do in the SU View...
- Before rendering I checked that I applied all the render settings. It does this for all kinds of render formats (View, 800x600, etc)
- Changing focal length doesn't change anything...
I've tried everything...
Any help would be highly welcome!
Cheers!

Re: Renders not matching SU view
Hi Madcoo!
I'm quite sure that happens because you're working in axonometric mode inside SketchUp. Try switching to perspective mode (camera->perspective) and you should have this issue fixed.
