Do most people use studio lighting instead of environment mapping?
Can someone please give me some good values for efficiency and pwoer for my meshlights?
EDIt : attached a file with 3 meshlights.. The top of the water is black and you can see the reflectio of thelights in the glass.. Not very realistic.

that is ultra-realistic!! how did you get your pen ink to leak into the water and gather at the top!!?!?!?!??
j/k very strange problem, could it be your normal direction?

Oddly enough the water looked better in the first render. Mind changing the camera angle so that we can see (most) the top of the water without it being obstructed by the glass itself?
OH and is the precedence for both mats the same?

it's not all black, in the first one you can see a little bit of the pencil through the water. I think this has to do with smoothing in skp. the glass isn't smoothed enough and the water is reflecting that.
