UV Mapping

Post by Blazedremedy » Sat Jun 14, 2008 8:03 am

I'm having trouble learning how to uv map with this tutorial I have. I do everything correctly until it asks me to to assign the uv sets to the proper texture channels. It tells me to open the material and click the Assign UVSets in the drop down menu and I don't see anything that says that.

UV sets basically tell indigo how to place the materials on the mesh. UV are the co-ordinates of the points on the mesh (very roughly speaking) so thats where the name comes from.

Theres a very good wikipedia article of the same name.
