Lights and glass help
Lights and glass help
So i have created a glass bubble like shelter, playing with the ffd-ruby for Sk. Then added a glass matter to the shelter. I loved the rendered image! Indigo adds the "air" into the sketchup image that i have been looking for. Next, I placed a few lights at the "leg" hoping for some reflection.. but never got them.
Does any one know how to get the lights to bounce off the glass? Do i have to change the matter, or matter specs, or the angle of the light to the leg?

No problem, I just wonder why you're named "Post" xD
Ah well, that's a usual problem: The sky in the background actually is glazing bright. You need to pump up the lights' intensities so that you're able to see them at bright day
And I'm not sure but I think, the lights' angles aren't perfect for reflections... Changing the camera angle as well as the angle of the spots might help with reflections a bit more

Thanks for the comments... Maybe over lunch tomorrow I will try changing the angles of the lights to see if it will reflect more. I don't mind that the lights are "off" during the "day"... it would be a waste of energy

Sorry, as I'm a newbie I have not learned all the terms --> Caustics is that the light refractions of the glass on the ground?Yes the caustics rock on that second render.
The first image was a test to see how the glass was going to rendering during the day with the reflections of the trees and sky. Was not looking for spots lights I still need to "play" a lot with indigo!!!
Thanks for the comments.
