Nice Zyx!

An old scene revisited:

Image

...And a little question:
Is it possibe to render without vignetting?

great render :D
Yet, you can only reduce vignetting by tweaking your cam settings...

Nice to see it re-vitalized by/with indigo! The only thing, i'd reduce a little the zoom field, it results kind of a distorted image
Great scene!

Pibuz ,you are right.
Actually using a 'normal' lens would show how small the place really is. ;)
By the way, it is already built ( not exactly as in the render though).

I won't. :)
Halfway the project I knew efforts to do 'something' architectural were in vain.
The client did his own taste thing...and I let it go.
I never got to take pictures of the space and by now this split-level studio is already sold.
(the client was a fast selling contractor, not the type that wants anything architectural).
The renderings were my play to see how things could have been.
The earlier verison (posted on pushpullbar) with the 'revolving eye' had a stonger concept.
Anyway, this model serves its purpose well though as it is a good test scene for testing different render engines.

Oh, i see your point..
So sad they don't let us do some architecture, sometimes, instead of mere 'construction'.. I often do this kind of trials too: I think a space in a way and then it comes out they want something completely different! Bof, hope they'll learn..

Post by Post » Tue May 27, 2008 5:12 am

My first render. A fast Lunch time playing with new programs. - I used the FFD ruby to shape the shelters, also still learning. I know the trees in the back ground could be better

i would like hear your comments.

Thanks

I was just having a little fun and seeing what I could do with the FFD ruby and about 15 minutes of time. I have to agree that they look a little like animals. :D

Thanks for the comments

after i seen that picture from kibuz from that indoor storage interior, here on page 8, i had to make it on my own to test some new things for me.
modeling is not the problem for me but rendering/light/textures are fairly new for me and this scene was a nice testarea for me.
like he said the interior is available at the 3dwarehouse (http://sketchup.google.com/3dwarehouse/ ... revstart=0) and is very nicely done, very well textured!
i just added that 3d man model (also from the 3dWarhouse) and made some bumpmaps in photoshop. i made bumps for every texture except for the mans model.
for comparison i have uploaded a vray render too so that you can better see the plain diffuse sketchup textures. just default vray settings with no special (bump) textures applied.
i was very carefull with the bump strength maybe too carefull, but its amazing what you can do with just a few quick bumpmaps.
and it was a great test for my first networkrendering too!
render on mine Core2Duo @2.4ghz and my wifes Intel QuadCore 2.66ghz
noise is very nice after that 5hours as you can see. no downsampling, original rendersize
