SkIndigo 3.6.28.3 (beta)

Post by OnoSendai » Wed Jun 04, 2014 11:22 pm

Hello,

This is a bugfix release. See changelog below for details.

This is a beta release - please test. Please install Indigo 3.6.26 or newer before this version. Get it from here: http://www.indigorenderer.com/forum/vie ... =1&t=12701

To Install:
On windows, you can use the Windows installer.
Otherwise:
1) Download RBZ file from link below
2) In SketchUp, go to Window->Preferences->Extensions
3) Uncheck the SkIndigo checkbox, press OK, restart SketchUp
4) In SketchUp, go to Window->Preferences->Extensions->Install Extension
5) Select the RBZ file you downloaded
6) Check the SkIndigo checkbox again.
7) Restart Sketchup again.

NOTE: this elaborate process is to make sure the asset files get updated properly, which doesn't work if the extension is enabled.

Changelog:

Fix use of bytesize in older versions of ruby.
Catching exceptions raised during export, and showing an error message dialog.

RBZ file: (all platforms)

Windows Installer:

Hope I didn't speak too soon... it's still exporting fine, but when I click on the camera icon to change my settings I get the below error.

Ono, do you mind updating a little the SkIndigo Gui, in order to avoid misunderstandings when using the not-working-anymore "glass acceleration" advanced property? A "fast glass" checkbox should be added in the specular shader panel instead, in my opinion, since this is now a material-dependent property, and not a scene property anymore.. Am I right?

Hi Pibuz,
We'll make those changes for a 3.8 version of SkIndigo, which we will do soonish.
