Scene parsing error

Post by kwistenbiebel » Wed Sep 14, 2011 6:04 pm

Hi Whaat and (Sk)Indigo friends,

I recently encounter an issue using Indigo and Skindigo (both latest version).

This is the error message I get when pushing the render button.

Error: Scene parsing error: Error while binding material 'tiles ' to geometry 'Group#565': No such material defined 'tiles '

Any suggestions?

Thank you in advance,

Kwistenbiebel

Thanks Snorky,
I tried that. There is indeed no 'tiles' material and making one with that name doesn't solve it..

but, is there a material called "tiles_" (replace the underscore by a blank space included in the name). Indigo is looking for a material called

tiles+[blank space]

Your problem might come from a material registered by a component, it's a known issue. If I remember correctly, one solution was to explode components in order to find the culprit.

You will find a thread where the error is discussed in the SkIndigo forum.

Cheers

Thank you so much CTZn...solved!
I spotted the 'tiles ' SU material, renamed it 'tiles_' and that fixed it.
Simple solution, Tx :)
