Can you please post the .PIGS file as well?

1) Go to SkIndigo->Export Scene As...
2) Open the IGS file in Indigo
3) Save Scene as... (and then choose a .PIGS file)
4) Upload to forums.

Thanks!

I seem to be having issues with environment maps. Here's the error message.
Error: Scene parsing error: Error while binding material 'Environment Map' to geometry 'Group#55': No such material defined 'Environment Map'

Do you have a material named 'Environment Map' in your model?

Are you trying to use this material as an environment map? Can you describe the steps you took? Were you trying to render an old file (created before SkIndigo 3.0.15 was released?

I tried the following-
After pressing the render button in SU, the black Indigo screen comes up & the error message appears immediately. The scene never gets built & starts to render. I went back to SU & exported the scene as igs.
Then I tried to render the igs in Indigo. It does not open either & I get the same result as above.
I also uninstalled Indigo & Skindigo & reinstalled both & got the same result as previously (.14 works & .15 does not)
I have attached partial contents of the error report...I don't have a clue what it means!
Thank you

Can you please find the two .igs files that were exported by Skindigo and attach them as a zip file to this thread? You should have a name.igs and name-meshes.igs.

Thanks for your patience.

Sorry for the delay. Thought I'd responded already!

I followed the steps you posted a little earlier.

1. Create new material.
2. Apply .exr file as the emitting texture
3. Change render settings to use texture as environment map

However, this is a file that was created before 3.0.15 so I'm going to copy all the geometry over and start anew.

OK, this is a bug. It will be fixed in the next update

Salut,

Image

J'utilise la version gratuite de Sketchup... Je ne sais plus quoi faire.... :|

Hi David,

Could you try using SkIndigo 3.0.15 but make sure you turn off GPU in the SkIndigo render settings?

Thanks

Hi Whaat! I'm curious about one thing.
I'm about to createa small network with my two pc at home. I wonde how external meshes are handled in network rendering: since only the path is exported and not the actual geometry, how will slave recognize the path to the master (given that the master is the pc on which I've built the scene)?

Hey Pibuz,

Do you know how to map a network drive? If you map a drive letter to a network folder that is accessible by both the master and the slave, then I believe both fill be able to find the external mesh.

Actually, it may not even matter because I think when Indigo sends the scene over to the master, it packs up the external mesh with the rest of the scene in the .PIGS file so you might not have to worry about this at all. :)

I ask because I recently worked with Packed scenes (to transfer a render from 32bits windows to 64bits Linux) and the igs only showed the path, not the mesh. Don't know if the network rendring process is different..

BTW, Snorky as sent me an useful guide to map hard drives so I think I will follow that, in the worst of the cases! I'll let you guys know, thanks!

Hey Whaat,

Thanks for this great work. Now I can make cool Outdoor-Scenes with Sun and Clouds, Great.

But I have little problem with the light-settings. When I create a Group, like a Lamp, and copy them, the first Group dosent light so bright as the other. So I copy them and the first light I move into the wall or behind the camera :)
It's also realy hard to get the right settings between sky illumination, sun and lights.

How do I create an image of exr on sketchup?
