Hi Turwa.
I wrote this many times, but once more won't harm
Sometimes there are "hidden" textures applied to components coming from the warehouse: the texture will be visible in the materials panel only if you explode the component in which they're contained. So, check every block you downloaded from the warehouse.
Just to make sure, run a "purge unused" too

Re: Error while rendering in sketchup
I have looked into it and without changing anything in the model the error message is now "cannot find map for material named" even before indigo is opened.
I have opened the ruby console but do not know what to look after.

Re: Error while rendering in sketchup
Try switching the material panel to LIST, and check if there are double materials.
Also, try downloading and running "cleanup.rb" by thomthom, sometimes it fixes this sort of things.
Are you sure you exploded all the components you downloaded from the warehouse? You should definitely be able to spot the new mat!

Search through sketchucation forums
Re: Error while rendering in sketchup
Also check if any of your mats use special characters such as ç, è, à, ù....

Re: Error while rendering in sketchup
i have tried to run cleanup and have no material names with odd characters
Re: Error while rendering in sketchup
..ok: another hint.
You know how SkIndigo handles additional maps, do you? I mean, bump and exponent maps..
Try to check if you accidentally chose a custom map without specifying any. You have to check that for every single SU mat, so it will be boring, I warn you..

No i dont know how it handles additional maps ?.. Is it in material properties ?
Re: Error while rendering in sketchup
Yep. Double click on a SU material to view the Indigo material editor. If you only see cursors, switch UI clicking on the UI button on top of Indigo Mat editor. Now you should see the additional maps parameters, and a drop-down meny nearby each characteristic (bump, exponent..). Check that the drop down menu is set to "SketchUp" or "Constant" for all the parameters.

Re: Error while rendering in sketchup
I am very gratefull - it seemed to have helped. I have added a texture to a color i did not use but did not specify any texture
Re: Error while rendering in sketchup
Ok. Glad we solved that.
