Blank Rendering...?

Post by MobyEIW » Thu Jan 20, 2011 11:38 am

I imported a model in from 3DS and I cannot get it to render correctly. It is a large file, lots of meshes. I have been trying to figure this out all day and am about to pull out my hair! What is weird is that i could render this same model when I had version 7 of sketchup. but after installing 8 and reinstalling the newer version of indigo and skindigo I either get an error or it renders a blank screen. does any one know how to fix this?

Thanks!

a fully black screen is mostly related to your tonemapping settings, change it to Reinhard to have some "automate light disply".
Does Indigo create some samples during rendering the image in black? If not, you camera is maybe inside a mesh that blocks every light incoming to the lens. This can maybe happen if a mesh is set invisible in Sketchup and it get exported visible... just a idea... I'm not using sketchup -.-'
