export error when writing to external drive

Post by wojtek-w » Wed Dec 15, 2010 10:46 am

during export when i choose en external (mapped) network disk as a destination en error pops up.
to be exact: export process starts but after few seconds it ends out of blue. In ruby console i've got:
Error: #<Errno::ENOENT: No such file or directory - P:\folder_name\subfolder_name/filename-meshes.igs>
C:/PROGRA~1/Google/GOOGLE~2/Plugins/skindigo.rb:574:in `initialize'
C:/PROGRA~1/Google/GOOGLE~2/Plugins/skindigo.rb:574:in `new'
C:/PROGRA~1/Google/GOOGLE~2/Plugins/skindigo.rb:574:in `export'
C:/PROGRA~1/Google/GOOGLE~2/Plugins/skindigo.rb:509:in `export_as'
C:/PROGRA~1/Google/GOOGLE~2/Plugins/skindigo.rb:1510
C:/PROGRA~1/Google/GOOGLE~2/Plugins/skindigo.rb:1510:in `call'

when i choose a local drive everything is ok.is this a known issue?
i can live with that but it's little annoying since i want to have access to this scene from diffrent machine and network disk is a perfect locarion for me...

sketchup 7.1 skindigo 2.4.13 win xp 32 bit

It's probably the mapping thing - the drives might be aliases or something and not known by windows as "P:/"

As a side, loading the scene in Indigo to render probably will take a bit longer.

thx for Your answer.
Although I'don't think it's a mapping problem. Other communication (reading, writing) with this network drive (mapped as P:/) works fine. Even a sketchup file I'm trying to export from is located on this drive...

I don't know if that's related but MediaMonkey can't play files from usb HDD.
It writes music tracks addresses down wrong in Vista 64 bit.
