Instancing with Skindigo

Post by Frutiger » Wed Nov 03, 2010 6:55 am

I'm trying to figure out instancing components in Sketchup and I want to make sure I got it right. I found this link in another thread talking about this issue, but the link leads to a site where they fade in and out between filipino and English.

http://www.cgpinoy.org/sketchup-tutoria ... t12147.htm

I've gotten instancing to work, I just want to make sure I understand the actual mechanism that ties instanced components together. Is it the naming convention of - tree - tree_dummy - that ties them together or is it the method of sequentially instancing the target and then the dummy?

And once it's established, how to you edit it? Is there an index of targets and dummies somewhere?
