MacOSX installation again:(

Post by simonq » Tue Aug 17, 2010 9:55 am

Hi Everybody,

I've seen couple of this kind of topics on this forum but none of them seems to solve my issue. Maybe you can help :)

I've installed Indigo Renderer (copying Indigo.app to my Application folder).
It works fine.

Then I've downloaded SkIndigo-2.2.12, unziped, and copy skindigo folder and skindigo.rb file into my Libary/Application Support/Google SketchUp 7/SketchUp/Plugins.

Unfortunately when I try to start SketchUp i'm getting following error:
Error Loading File skindigo.rb
no such file to load -- sketchup.rb

Can somebody help...?

Regards,
Simonq

That's a strange error. It almost sounds like your SketchUp installation has been messed up. Can you do a search on your system for 'sketchup.rb' and tell me where it is located?

Do you have any other SketchUp plugins installed? I think all of them require sketchup.rb in order to run.

Maybe you deleted sketchup.rb by accident.

I've tried different versions of SkIndigo - same result.
I thought it's strange that only my system is giving me this error.

I've searched for sketchup.rb all my system - no result.

I've tried my MacBOOK everything worked fine.

So the conclusion is:
The Sketchup intstallation was broken, I've had Sketchup 6 and 7.1 installed ... both broken.
Maybe due to fact that I've used MacOS Extended Jurnaled filesystem Case sensitive, but I'm not sure.

I've reinstalled, MacOSX, Sketchup and now everything wordk fine.

Thank you for feedback,

Regards,
Simonq
