Hi Bullseye,
thanks but hope to show you as soon as possible an alpha version. It's not a script, it's a C++ compiled plug-in and in my vision it will use a combination of XSI shaders and Indigo ones. It means, for example, that you should add to an existing material or a object or a cluster a CustomerProperty related to Indigo material in which u can define all the indigo's shader parameters that cant' be found in the standard XSI material definition.
More to come.
Best regards, R.

I look forward
I am glad to hear of an XSI plug in. I have been trying to find a simple way to move my work from XSI to indigo. Thought about using a stand alone converter for the dotXSI files.
I am sure however that you are doing this for XSI 5 and I do not have it yet. I am still useing 4.2 and have found that there is big compatibility issues in plugins between the two.
My efferts where goung to be script based and would use the basic XSI materials directly. I have only been gathering information for the moment. My goal is to take past XSI work and rerender them in indigo. Lights would be turned into meshlights based on the area light of XSI. If area was not selected on a light then a sphere of one unit would be used.
I wanted to do as little changing to my scenes as possible.
Will still be looking forward to your plugin.
