Indigo lacks
Indigo lacks
In this section I will show lacks Indigo on examples
Which need to be improved.
The question is a bit wider. Probably, whether such to make with Indigo. In my opinion, there are problems with illumination. Especially internal. I for some reasons cannot adjust to robot IES - c a sunlight. Shades from the sun are displayed by sharp shades and can be better. As we see on a photo, light gets to kitchen from a window and is well shined, in indigo that will make the such is problematic. It in Cinema4D 11.08
Someone can will prompt how to improve illumination in interiors.

Re: Indigo lacks
You have no light from the sun whatsoever, it's difficult to compare this way. Perhaps you forgot to drag the sun object (or light, vector representing it) into the indigo render settings...

Re: Indigo lacks
Here one more scene. Illumination one sun without portals. All the same
The scene looks dark. Not to compare to photo illumination.

Re: Indigo lacks
There is no actual sunlight coming through the windows in your scenes. All you see is skylight illumination, and of course that is much dimmer than sunlight.
Put the sun in and you should see an improvement.

Then one have to play with exposition time to get the correct exposure...StompinTom wrote:There is no actual sunlight coming through the windows in your scenes. All you see is skylight illumination, and of course that is much dimmer than sunlight.

Re: Indigo lacks
It is not my my interior rendering Finalrender.Я fine I understand
That it is necessary to expose portals near windows, whether but a question I can shine a scene with only one sun. Excuse me for English language better to me all it to explain in Russian.

Re: Indigo lacks
The problem of your indigo scenes is that there is NO sun shining into the windows!!!
Check out Cindigo Manual how set up Sun correctly (This changed in last Cindigo version!)

Re: Indigo lacks
When the sun is selected and no actual vector applied we get something like what is seen in his renders. The sun shines perfectly from above and therefore we have only light from the sky.Zom-B wrote:The problem of your indigo scenes is that there is NO sun shining into the windows!!!

Re: Indigo lacks
Also some hints:
to speed up rendertime use portals and no glass for the windows...
The Indigo Team is actually working on ArchGlass, that should speed up window glass interior rendering a lot
To prevent black ring around the sun set the splat filter to Gaussian or use aperture diffraction.

And as about internal illumination with glasses inside. This noise in general never will leave.
Here an interesting scene same during one time of the miscalculation 3 hours of 18 mines, per another it is changed
Time of the miscalculation 3 hours of 43 minutes I cannot understand the size of fixtures, how the size of fixtures could affect time.

Here a scene example
Here a scene example рис1.
Arrow указанно a direction of a source of illumination.
As a source of illumination at me Infinite Light.
The sun is disconnected. Only the Sky = 25, is strange that brightness raises, not there where at me the illumination source is located.
Rice 2
Sky =1
Sun = 25
That occurs, and occurs nothing, still darkly.
Dreadful shades, and with very dark corners, sensation that light in general from a surface is not reflected.
рис3
We raise Sun =100
That it is visible further that brightness has increased, but still again dark corners.
SKY in general it is invisible
And shades, what.
Conclusion: what for are necessary SKY and SUN

Re: Indigo lacks
I assume it's because there's more light being thrown about in the second image than the first. More light rays = less noise.Prof4D wrote:And as about internal illumination with glasses inside. This noise in general never will leave.

Re: Indigo lacks
How can I switch off my internal illumination? I have the same Problem with my Renderings like you have in your first Picture, and I don't no, how to solve. I deleted all my Glasses in front of Light-Emitters/Sun, but it doesn't work. 7000 Samples per Pixel don't seem to change the Problem, also a change of my units do not solve the Problem. Please tell me, what you have done to get the better pixture below, carefully, I'm a beginnerProf4D wrote:And as about internal illumination with glasses inside. Re: Indigo lacks
Hey Johannes,
could you specify your problem more precisely?
What do you mean by "internal illumination"? If you want to explain it in german, no problem, when this could avoid misunderstanding!

Re: Indigo lacks
Well, look at the first two Fotos of Prof4D.
The first picture is very rough and noisy although of a longer rendertime than picture 2.
Prof4D told, that's because of the "internal Illumination". I have that Problem of too noisyness also in my renderings, but I don't know, how to change. I've also no idea, what internal Illumination is, that's why I'm asking
There seems to be a intelligent trick...
I've another Picture only one Light-Layer switched on. There, you can see it better than in the once before.
