Post by fused » Wed Sep 10, 2008 6:01 am

Cindigo 1.1.10 Beta
for Indigo 1.1.10

download exporter:
PC Version
(or below)

The file contains PC versions for R10 and R9. (R10 users will have to rename the "cindigo1.1.10.cdl_R10" to "cindigo1.1.10.cdl")
Make sure you have the newest version of quicktime installed!

Good beginner tutorials can be found here (german and english, a bit outdated)

please tell me if you find bugs or have specific requests. i will try to fix/implement as fast as possible.

1.1.10 changelog:

* added .igmesh export. reduces export time drastically
* added emission_scale (find it under tags-> emission normalization tag). you need to assign the material on the objects which should be scaled to the tag, as objects can have multiple mats)

AFAIK it was always possible, but perhaps they couldn't overlap...

I've just referenced it because light normalization give little info when being searched in the forum, and it isn't also on the manual, this way people can find a bit more about this new feature.

More references:

Efficacy scale
The ‘power drawn’ is over the whole emitter surface, not per unit area. So a bigger mesh area or a scaled one with the same setting means comparatively less light output as seen by the observer. For ‘uniform’ emitters the spectral radiance values to use will be quite large - say 10^8.

Thanx a lot for this version, fused. i just played around with multi-materials on a mesh via selection-tag and this is soooo cool.
