Hello, I am new over here. I am using C4D v. 9.6, downloaded Indigo and Cindigo v. CINDIGO 1.0 - BETA 1.
It seems to me that exporter does not export materials correctly - I tried two simply materials - red and green, both of them are exported as follows

Code: Select all

<material>
        <name>Red</name>
        <diffuse>
            <albedo_spectrum>
                <rgb>
                    <rgb>0.85 0.85 0.85</rgb>
                    <gamma>2.2</gamma>
                </rgb>
            </albedo_spectrum>
        </diffuse>
    </material>
    <material>
        <name>Green</name>
        <diffuse>
            <albedo_spectrum>
                <rgb>
                    <rgb>0.85 0.85 0.85</rgb>
                    <gamma>2.2</gamma>
                </rgb>
            </albedo_spectrum>
        </diffuse>
    </material>
What version of C4D do you use for testing?

in the Cindigo folder you have two files: a .cdl and a .cdl_R10 . The first works with cinema 9.6.
About the materials, it seems like you didn't set them properly:
1 create a material in C4d, rename it to 'red'
2 apply the material to your object
3 apply a 'Indigo material helper' tag to the object
4 click and drag your cinema material icon (the sphere) to the Cindigo blank field 'material'
5 set the type and colour of your material as you wish (in the cindigo attributes panel). the object colour should change to the desired colour.
6 export

if it doesn't work i make you a short videotut.. let me know

ciao, and welcome!

Thank you Marcofly.

I did it like you explain. But all materials are still gray.

But when I disabled "Apply changes to Material" in "Indigo Material Helper Tag" problem disappeared - red is red, green is green, glass is glass. So no problem for me at this moment.

Thanks to author for great exporter! And even more for great renderer!

i had some time today and coded a little material preview.

when you hit "preview" indigo is started, renders the preview and when you click on the material helper tag the next time, it loads the preview.

thats too cool... 8) never thought that i could implement it like this.

will be in the next version of cindigo.
