Staying close to BL Exporter is a good Idea, so I don't have spend houers to learn everything about it ^^

Ok, I just tested it!
here are some bugs I found, just to fill your list on the first posting
- "Plugins > Indigo Exporter 0.7.5 > About" doesn't work for me
- "Internal Medium > Phase function" no settings for greenstein or uniform to set, it also gets exported strange!
- exporter just exports a justsomerandomcrap.xml, no matter what I call it ^^
- no 3ds export for me (c4d 9.62) also no hints for the meshes in the XML file
- NK materials dont work
- NK settings, transparency, color are availible to each of phong diffuse etc. materials, but get exported correctly
This first test release is very promissing!!!!!!!!!!1

- about works for me neither
- i was not sure if uniform scattering is supposed to have a value. greenstein is not supposed to work
- i thougt justsomerandomcrap.xml was a good name for any scene
- NK is not implemented yet

OK, after adding a light to the scene 3Ds export is enabled!
But the XML only refers to the lightsource and the 3Ds file includes all Objects like in "dual 3ds object mode" in BLs exporter...

the setup is like in BlackLizards exporter. if you still dont know how to do it, maybe someone can write a little tut. if not, if will do it for the final.
TIP: save your scene before exporting. exporter causes crashes (eg when you forget to apply the material to the object, or to the material helper tag)

big thanks for your exporter,
but i found a little bug. the plugin exports the difus material with "<color>"
parameter but it should be "<colour>" with an "u" befor "r". perhabs you can
split the material tag in to 4 separate tags, one for eacht kind of materials.
edit: in the object tag is alsou a bug the normal_smoothing is allways on false.
