Compatibility with Forester4D

Post by zeitmeister » Tue Aug 16, 2016 7:31 am

Hey fused,

there is still a problem with the Forester4D-plugin from 3DQuakers.
Cindigo still exports only what the editor sees.

Forester sets its procedural objects only at render time to high-poly. When you simply convert the trees to current state / polygon-object, it doesnt get highpoly.

So it seems like the plugin does something else...
could you please check that again with Charbel?

That would be so cool!

So it doesn't even work when rendering with Indigo inside C4D? Or does that at least work?

Can't really do anything there. Cindigo asks C4D for the right mesehs (if you want details, it asks for BUILDFLAGS_EXTERNALRENDERER).
I guess you should take that up with the dev of Forester4D.

Who's Charbel? Excuse my ignorance :)

From your last post about it
So it seems that Cindigo exports something different here for internal rendering and for external rendering.
I talked to Charbel, the developer of Forester4D, and he agrees with me that this should be an Indigo/Cindigo issue.
Sorry to be blunt, but he's wrong :)

You have to render it in picture viewer in order to see renderer level. You also have to convert materials to indigo material and make changes as you want.
