R17 + Indigo

Post by contegufo » Sun Sep 13, 2015 5:01 am

Hi

I opened this file in Cinema4DR17 already rendered in previous versions.
The result was dramatic; materials suddenly become reflective, reflections unreal, etc ......
I would say that currently the two products are not compatible.

Looks like it's just your wood that looks funky. Check the values and see if there's anything weird with it. Maybe a missing bump/spec/exponent map?

Did you use indigo- or C4D-materials?

Hi

The material wood is a CD4 but in C4DR13 / R15 was rendered properly. I would have to convert it into material for Indigo although it was not necessary.
CD4R17 probably requires that you make this conversion.

The big problem is that of C4DR15 C4DR17 is the slow redrawing of which are responsible for the Open GL libraries. I am almost forced to use the older version C4DR13.
On your Mac have the same problems or blame the MacMini?

Hi,

Since R16, C4D always add a specular channel to a new material, same thing from an import IE from Archicad (and no way to automatically remove it ...)
So Indigo export give also a specular material.

You have to manually uncheck it in C4D.
