Is there a workaround to calculate the motion blur like it should, to follow the object? I am working with long exposure times and it seems cindigo is looking into the future...
is this a known problem or just happening here with me?
motion blur afterwards, not in advance?
Re: motion blur afterwards, not in advance?
Yes, MotionBlur at the moment has quite some issues in the Exporter!
As a workaround you can use the Scene MotionBlur Post effect, thats works by rendering multiple subframes and merging them.
You can safely reduce the ample halt condition for this kind of Motion Blur, since the merging combines the images and reduces noise a lot!
Check out the attached file, it works with all kind of motion btw!

Re: motion blur afterwards, not in advance?
I couldn't swear it would fix anything as I never really looked into the details on how each frame progresses, but generally I'd try to bake anything possible for moblur just for previz sake. Just by my noob logics the worst that happens is that it would advance forward from the last baked frame which shouldn't be too apparent.
For simple stuff http://nitro4d.com/blog/donationware/nitrobake/ usually works pretty well.
I can also highly recommend http://tcastudios.com/?p=151 if the above fails.

Re: motion blur afterwards, not in advance?
Thank you for your replies! Yes, the Motionblur effect could do it, sadly baking does´t help.
All in all it is not that bad since I am not looking for a photoreal approach.
Right now the Motionblur is a little bit like speaking backwards....so at frame one indigo is looking for movements for the next 25frames (if 1/1sec) and generating the blur at frame 1.
This is only a problem for long exposure shots.
But as I know with the vray development, integrating correct motion blur and deformation blur in cinema is quite a hustle....
