environnement .exr + lights

Post by SCHMUMS » Thu Feb 07, 2013 1:23 am

Hello everyone, I'd like to know if it is possible to have a scene 4d environment. Exr with lights (spots) as well as dissemination materials (neon). I've tried several times but when I ride the intensity of my materials envirronnement the neon disappears.
Someone there a solution to my problem?
thank you in advance

Actually you can, but the light output is probably very different (your environment is probably much much more powerful than lights), and you are probably using Reinhard Tonemapping, which auto-exposes the scene. Then when you switch on the environment , the tonemapper reduces exposure a lot, making the visible output of other lights close to zero. A little bit as if you try to look at stars during the day. I think this is the n°1 question on Indigo forums! There should be a FAQ...
