Hi all,
Using the demo of IR 3.2.9 and Cindigo 3.2.9.1.
I have a GTX280 in a Windows 7 SP1 box, and when I render the Cindigo tutorial project with GPU acceleration selected, the 3 spheres in the scene disappear. They render as expected when GPU acceleration is turned off. This happens both in the standalone renderer after .igs export, and in the integrated renderer.
I have the latest 296.10 drivers.
NB: I have a new 2 GB GTX 560 on the way, so if this is a problem due to the older card, then it won't be a problem for me much longer.

GPU Rendering Makes Tutorial Spheres Disappear
Re: GPU Rendering Makes Tutorial Spheres Disappear
GPU Raytracing doesn't support primitives atm, but cindigo exports the spheres as such.
You need to break that sphere into a mesh object.
Thanks for the bug report

That did the trick; thanks Zom-B!Zom-B wrote:GPU Raytracing doesn't support primitives atm, but cindigo exports the spheres as such.

PS - does this really count as a BR? I didn't even check to see if there was a forum in which to do that.
Re: GPU Rendering Makes Tutorial Spheres Disappear
Hi Jeff, welcome
As far as I know, GPU mode doesn't support Indigo internal sphere (Indigo Technical Reference, page 102). So, the reason could be that Cindigo used it.

edit: oh, late reply

Hi Alex,
Thanks for the welcome. And I always say...better late than never!

If you take the time to let the devs know that something doesn't work, then its a BR, and the best way to get the issue fixed quicklyJeffBDVS wrote:PS - does this really count as a BR? I didn't even check to see if there was a forum in which to do that.
(people can support your request and tell how much this bug is a pain for their workflow etc.).
If you find issues with the exporter, here is the right place to tell about it
