Cannot render out from C4D

Hi all,

I've downloaded the indigo demo for Mac ( ver. 3), and the C4D plug-in (ver. 3.2.1), when I click on "Render with Indigo" a small window pops up (no contents in it) for a brief moment then disappears. Then I receive a message saying C4D has shut down -- although it remains open and functional.

The Indigo program seems to work properly, but I cannot bring a C4D project into it.

I noticed in an earlier post that someone else had the same problem. I did not see a fix for it.

Any help, please.

Unfortunately I haven't got C4D R13; everything is running fine on R11.5 and 10.6.7.
Do you have an earlier version of C4D to test?

Check the C4D Console if your export was successful (Shift+F10 on PC, or in the "window" tab on the top of C4D)!

You can define the Export path in the "Indigo Render Settings" tag that you can add to your render settings (like AO and Global illumination).

Now you simply open the exported igs file from Indigo GUI and render.

Zom -B,
I checked the C4D console as you suggested and it showed the file exported to Indigo. It also showed that Indigo had launched although it hadn't. I opened Indigo manually and tried to import the .igs file created in C4D but all I got was an error message. No luck.

hmm... please try if a simple scene with a cube and a sun, doesn't work for you too.
If not, then please upload the file here so we can check it out

i had the same problem trying the demos...

i think it is when you changed the path for the stand alone app.
(i tried rt first and set the path, then changed to indigo render)

is there a way to reset/newly set the path to the stand alone app?

(this is on mac os x)

i got the same problem with c4d r13
the indigo render doesnt pop up automatically
I can set the the path and open it manually but it is very unconfortable.
Does anybody know how to solve this problem?

Try to find the following file
"cindigoSettings.cfg"
and delete it.

Worked all time since I use Cindigo.
