C4D R13 + Cindigo 3.0.11: Problems
C4D R13 + Cindigo 3.0.11: Problems
Hi,
since using c4d R13 with cindigo 3.0.11, there is a serious problem with the picture update.
first: starting a render it lasts 5 minutes oder more until we see the first picture.
In case of a 1900 pixel picture we skiped the render after half an hour without a picture.
second: we did three renderings over night. Each one was rendered 15 hours and they look
like they were rendered 10 minutes.
That means, we could NOT use Indigo with c4d r13.
__________________________________________________________________________________
A few minutes ago I recogniced the cinigo 3.0.15. I hope it will work with win7-64bit.
We will try that today.
__________________________________________________________________________________
Does anyone now something about those problems?
Daniel

Re: C4D R13 + Cindigo 3.0.11: Problems
Cindigo 3.0.15 does not work here. I have copied it into the plugins folder. As usual.
After starting c4d r13, the cindigoplugin is not be found.
We try now to go back to c4d r12.

Re: C4D R13 + Cindigo 3.0.11: Problems
I recently started using R13, haven't even installed cindigo yet, thanks for the heads up. Suppose I will just spend some more time getting acquainted with Cinema while I wait for full Indigo support.

I've had no problems up to so far, but you ought to try the greatest and latest versions...

Hi Daniel,
the picture update problem you are mentioning, you mean Indigo's picture update?
Or are you perhaps trying to make a rendering with c4d's advanced renderer with Indigo materials in your scene? (They aren't really supposed to be used for that).
According to Maxon, R12 plugin should work in R13, have you tried Cindigo 3.0.15 for R12, or a different version?
I must admit, I haven't actually tried R13 yet, but I will look into it today and if I can reproduce your problems.

Hi fused,
thanks for the answer (to all!)
First: Yes, I mean Indigo's picture update.
Second: As I wrote, I tried the 3.0.15. But sadly after copy the folder into the maxon plugins-folder,
the cindigoplugin doesn´t show up in Cinema. Is not be found where it usualy is.

but did you try the R12 version? This one: http://www.indigorenderer.com/dist/expo ... 15_R12.zip

edit: when starting R13 with cindigo installed, could you have a look at the c4d console ("Fenster" -> "Konsole") and tell me if it prints any error that looks remotely Cindigo related, or even better a screenshot of the console?
edit2: I Just heard from ZomB, that contrary to what was said by maxon (R12 plugins do not need to be recompiled), some actually have to be. I am looking into this now.
Re: C4D R13 + Cindigo 3.0.11: Problems
Hi Yves,
yes, i installed the r12-version.
But like I said, the installation (copy the 3.0.15 folder into the plugins-folder) shows no effect.
I have deletet the older cindigo-folder first. Was that a mistake?
I cannot use the 3.0.15. Cinema just can not see it. The console is and remains empty.
I ignored that and tried to open an indigoprojekt. The reaction fram cinema was:

Re: C4D R13 + Cindigo 3.0.11: Problems
Hi Daniel,
I just tried the R12 version and it works for me in R13.
I recently added a new dependency to Cindigo, which probably needs the Visual C++ 2008 redist package (SP1). Please try to install it and see if it works.
You can find it here:
64 bit: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/de-d ... laylang=de
32 bit: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/de-d ... laylang=de

Re: C4D R13 + Cindigo 3.0.11: Problems
Something like that can happen if you use high poly meshes as a emitter... simply don't do it ^^ppHaus wrote:first: starting a render it lasts 5 minutes oder more until we see the first picture.

the less polygons the emitter has, the better
This looks like a epic user fail, regarding light or material configuration. But with so few informations we can't help you! please post images, and tell us if you used lightlayers.ppHaus wrote:second: we did three renderings over night. Each one was rendered 15 hours and they look

Re: C4D R13 + Cindigo 3.0.11: Problems
Hi Yves,
thanks. After installing the Visual C++ 2008 redist package
Cindigo shows up in Cinema R13!!!
There was also a note in the konsole then. See picture.
After that we tried to render. Problem is still there, I think.
After 5 Minutes still no picture. Indigo says it is updating
image, bus nothing happens. Black screen.
We will render over night so see, if there is a picture-update
then.
Still we cannot use Indigo with R13.

Geat!
I will add the links to the first post of the 3.0.15 release.
Regarding the image update issue, would it be possible that you send us the scene for debugging purposes?
If so, please email it to: support (at) indigorenderer (dot) com

Re: C4D R13 + Cindigo 3.0.11: Problems
Hi Zom-B,
here is a picture sample from one of my collegs.
Look at my red marks. It looks exactely like a
picture with about 15 Minutes rendertime.
what can I say. We did everything as usual. Same Materials.
No Lightlayers, just the sun.
We render many pictures every week. We have Projekts here,
wich we rendered without any problems at all in C4d R12.
THE SAME projekt with the SAME MATERIALS and the SAME SUN
does not work anymore. Exactely since we use C4d R13.
And the black circles in the windowglas: We see them the first time;
never seen anything like that!!

Re: C4D R13 + Cindigo 3.0.11: Problems
Hey Daniel,
change render-mode to PT+BiDir and enable glass acceleration,
this should boost your render quite a lot! MLT isn't best choice for exterior renderings!
Also check your leafe material for the trees and use a mask map or simply exchange texture to PNG with alpha channel (should work out of the box!)
