C4D R13 + Cindigo 3.0.11: Problems
Re: C4D R13 + Cindigo 3.0.11: Problems
Hi Zom-B,
thanks, we will try.
But did you read that I said, that we use THE SAME projekt in R12 AND in R13,
an in R12 all good and in R13 these problems appear?
This is what makes me thinking, that something´s wrong with cindigo.

When you switched to R13, did you also switch to Indigo 3?ppHaus wrote:We render many pictures every week. We have Projekts here,
wich we rendered without any problems at all in C4d R12.
THE SAME projekt with the SAME MATERIALS and the SAME SUN
does not work anymore. Exactely since we use C4d R13.
And the black circles in the windowglas: We see them the first time;
never seen anything like that!!
It looks like you are using MLT, could you maybe try to use Bidir without mlt, with "Glass acceleration" turned on?
You could try that, but also, if you are using dropbox, you could share a folder with me.ppHaus wrote:@ Yves:
can I send you 36 MB to this adress?
Daniel
If not, just try to email it
Save it as a pigs before sending it, please (In the indigo ui, after you opened the scene, "File" -> "Save as" and then select *.pigs)
Re: C4D R13 + Cindigo 3.0.11: Problems

Thanks so far!!!!

Re: C4D R13 + Cindigo 3.0.11: Problems
Good Morning,
I´m not able to send the email, it´s to big. Can we do this via FTP?
And:
After installing 3.0.15 yesterday we rendered a picture over night again.
The Problem is still there; the picture quality is bad and we can not use
Indigo like that.

Re: C4D R13 + Cindigo 3.0.11: Problems
Hey Daniel, did ya tried to use PT+BiDir & Glass acceleration this time? You told that this scene(s) renderd better with older Cindigo + R12. Well, since there isn't much change between this versions (on the Indigo related side), it is hard to believe for me that this is the reason for that "issue"! I work with cindigo a lot since day 1 and test the hell out of that plugin to find bugs and help enhancing workflow etc. but such an problem seems quite new & "special" for me...ppHaus wrote:After installing 3.0.15 yesterday we rendered a picture over night again.

Please tell me the hardware you rendered the images on and also the samples per sec and final sample count after the time rendered. maybe you can send me the raw output PNG files of an "old" well rendered project and a new "bad" one via mail, I can read out some of the settings and rendertime etc. out of the PNG metadata:

Re: C4D R13 + Cindigo 3.0.11: Problems
Hi Zom-B,
I can only try to explain it again:
We use Indigo since march 2010. Since then we have rendered round about 150 project
with cinema and indigo. it allways works great, no serious problems.
--> 2 weeks ago we worked with cinema r12 + cindigo 3.0.11 + Indigo renderer 3.0.10.
--> Then we changed to cinema r13 + cindigo 3.0.11 + Indigo renderer 3.0.10.
--> From this minute on we had this "image update problem"
--> Going back to cinema r12: no problems at all.
I now that changing the rendermode would show some effekt, but this has nothing to do with
our problem here, I think.
Our Problem is, that Indigo does NOT update the image.

Please try changing the render mode, I might have changed the default to use MLT, which would explain the fact that Indigo is not updating the image in the beginning of the rendering (MLT needs a warmup period, which can be quite long, depending on the scene).
Regarding the scene, I will contact you via email.

Re: C4D R13 + Cindigo 3.0.11: Problems
Also, please update to Indigo 3.0.14, which is the version Cindigo 3.0.15 is recommended to be used with.

Re: C4D R13 + Cindigo 3.0.11: Problems
Probably a stupid suggestion, but I wanna make sure: If your image stays black after 10 minutes or so, you might try to raise the EV adjust in indigo. I am not a cindigo user so I don't know, but the default image settings might have been changed from reinhard to camera, for instance. This might result in a darker (or black) image.
Good luck!
Good luck!
Re: C4D R13 + Cindigo 3.0.11: Problems
Hi,
thanks again for the answers.
What we will try today:
- Install Indigo 3.0.14
- Change Rendermode to PT BiDir
I will post the result soon.
And: we will check if there is a change from reinhard to camera.

Re: C4D R13 + Cindigo 3.0.11: Problems
Hi there,
we tried ist all, but no improvement.
Only that with Pathtracing we recieve the first picture after 10 seconds. But after
half an our of rendering no update image at all.
That means: we cannot use Indigo with R13.
We go back to R12.
I hope it is possible to inform us, when there will be a plugin for R13
Thanks to all

Re: C4D R13 + Cindigo 3.0.11: Problems
Hi,
I´m sorry to tell, that we have some new problems.
Cinema R13 + Indiog 3.2.0 + Cindigo 3.2.1
Problems are:
1. we have 2 licences wich includes 2 x 2 nodes. We installed Indigo on 6 computers.
3 of them are used for real working with Cinema+Indigo, the others are used only as
networkslaves. Now, after installing Indigo 3.2.0, the 2 full licences are working
just fine. But the 4 nodes had each lost their licence and are running in free mode.
2. The networkslave-thing does not work anymore here. I expected at least one other
computer (the other one with a working full licence) to take part of the rendering after
starting it as master. But nothing happens. Seems like the networkrendering doesn´t work
anymore.
3. The one computer with a node licence has still the problem, that the pictures are
NOT updated while rendering. In the MLT-Mode. After reducing the data (no plants etc.)
of the scene, it works. ?!?. In the other modes ist workes to (without reducing data) , but
those renderings are broken. To be exact: a tree in the scene has no bole. ?!?
@ Yves: could you please call us up to talk about that? 02737 - 98 69 41

Re: C4D R13 + Cindigo 3.0.11: Problems
We just fixed the issue with the network slaves and are making a new build which we will release today.
I will call you about the other issues soon. Is there any time that's especially convenient for you?
