I've ran into this before. If any of the RGB values of the SSS are 0, then the calculations freak out. Give them a check.everwind wrote:
I spotted another bug I've ever seen but I don't remember when : with some scene when you put a material to specular, the render never starts, it's only written "done 0.0000 samples 1.#INFO micro-seconds / sample ...", but Indigo uses 100% of the CPU and never render a picture.

Also if SSS Scattering Spectrum gain is to high samples drop to zero!Soup wrote:I've ran into this before. If any of the RGB values of the SSS are 0, then the calculations freak out. Give them a check.

Here to report a malfunction: I read someone gets crashes when enabling diffraction. I simply see no diffraction.
..I don't know if I'm doing anything wrong, but my camera is set to f/32 and I really think I should start seeing some glares :D
What does GLARE TECH say? :D:D:D

Re: Indigo Renderer 2.4.3 Released
afaik you need to set it to f/8 to get some visual feedback, or even higher...

His f stop is much higher than f8. Weird.Zom-B wrote:afaik you need to set it to f/8 to get some visual feedback, or even higher...

The glare also depends on the aperture shape - If the aperture is circular, you won't see 'glare lines', but just a kind of fuzzy disc around your lights. Try using a non-circular aperture shape or an obstacle map.Pibuz wrote:Here to report a malfunction: I read someone gets crashes when enabling diffraction. I simply see no diffraction.

F divided by 8 is higher than F divided by 32: http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/c ... iagram.svgStompinTom wrote:His f stop is much higher than f8. Weird.

f/32 is a higher f/stop than f/8 but that means smaller aperture.
you get more diffraction with smaller aperture - http://www.cambridgeincolour.com/tutori ... graphy.htm

Re: Indigo Renderer 2.4.3 Released
Ok, but you get more flare with a smaller aperature. You don't compare 'f divided by (number)', you compare the actual numbers. In that sense, 'shooting at a higher f-stop' means shooting at a higher number, ie. a smaller aperature. A wider aperature means a lower f-stop. The fact is that I don't see any fuzziness or anything :)OnoSendai wrote:The glare also depends on the aperture shape - If the aperture is circular, you won't see 'glare lines', but just a kind of fuzzy disc around your lights. Try using a non-circular aperture shape or an obstacle map.

indigo_console.exe crash
I've noticed a bug (don't know is it a skindigo bug too).
It happens when I'm trying a material preview on indigo model (the other ones works) within sketchup. Preview in Material Editor works also.

Thanks!

Re: Indigo Renderer 2.4.3 Released
We're testing a Mac build with some users, it's almost working. Expect a build today, or a very good explanation of why it's not there!
